Mariana holds a B.A. degree in Media Arts from CSU, Chico. After college, Mari specialized in Screenwriting at the Czech Film and Television Academy (FAMU). As an undergraduate, she won first place at the BEA Student National Screenwriting Competition for one of her short scripts. Since then, she has worked as a freelance writer, ghostwriter, and story analyst. Recently, she co-wrote two screenplays for films under development by a Brazilian film production company.
Her short stories, poems, and articles have been featured in several publications, including Dogmatika, Taste of Cinema, Culture Unplugged, among others. As an editor, she co-founded the international literary journal Greenbeard Magazine, publishing established and emerging writers, poets, and illustrators.
